The fast paced world today demands professionals who are efficient and open to performing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining a healthy work and personal life balance. Women have been gifted the ability of multitasking by the nature. Since a very tender age women are taught to shoulder responsibilities that have enhanced her natural talents.
We find many top MNC’s being run and managed by women who are flawlessly handling their corporate duties household. The secret lies in the patience inherited by almost every woman who is able to decipher difficult situation with a touch of their positive attitude and calm decision making abilities, however does being a multi-tasker make women better managers too?
The emotional quotient to a women’s phycology tends to play a major part in their interpretations whit the situations and hence can distort one from the practicality, avoiding taking risks which are the essence of any enterprise.
According to study conducted by Gallup in 2012, it was found that 41% of women leaders tend to be more personally engaged than their male counterpart, which accounts to 35%. A leader’s engagement has a massive impact on the productivity and teamwork of the organization. The study also found that employees that work under women managers are 1.26 times more likely to agree than those who work for male manager that “There is someone at work who encourages my Development.”
Despite contrasting ideologies that on one side state that women being emotionally vulnerable, hence a little hesitant in making risky choices and taking practical stance , on the other hand study proves that women leaders are encouraging, work oriented and more inclined towards engaging her co-workers deeper in their job’s.
