Losma India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of the Losma group that is a global leader in Air & Liquid Filtration Technologies for machine tools, started its operations in India in 2010. Losma India Pvt Ltd was incorporated in Pune as a production subsidiary that was able to offer specific and technologically advanced solutions to the local market at competitive prices. From that moment on, the company has actively operated to improve working conditions within the market's production facilities by offering products for the filtration of mists, fumes and vapours that are generated during machine tool operations, as well as by reducing oil waste which is filtered through its systems.
Losma's commitment to the Indian market has further intensified since 2013, following important events including the ITC network start-up, the increasing growth of the machine tool market (India ranked eighth among machine tools’ consumers) and the opening of the leading automotive manufacturers plants, one of the main sectors that concern the Indian branch.
Losma specialises in Oil Mist Filtration & Coolant Filtration systems for machine tools, and is the preferred vendor for most Automotive OEMs, Component Manufacturing organizations and machine tool manufacturers across the country. Losma India presently has a customer base in several sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Machine Tools, Steel and General Engineering. The company has recently also made a foray into the metal forming sector with its Fume Extraction Systems in Welding and Plasma Cutting operations.
The new plant of Losma India houses state of the art facilities for manufacturing, testing and quality control of products, and is geared up for scaled up operation owing to the rapid growth of the company and demand in the market for its products. The company has a wide sales and service network and is meeting requirements of customers from every corner of the country.
The expansion of the Indian manufacturing branch and the presence of ITC network are a clear evidence of the importance of the Indian market, which offers positive prerequisites for the future of Losma by facilitating the constant expansion and internationalization of the Italian "know-how". A further confirmation of this has been given by Mr. Giancarlo Losma, President of the Losma Group, who affirmed: "What makes us proud of this new production branch is that it allows Losma to grow progressively and steadily, creating a solid internationalization process in one of the more dynamic and vibrant markets in the world."
