Ravi Raghavan & Rajendra Rajamane to lead IMTMA for 2021-22

Indian Machine Tools Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) elected Ravi Raghavan, Managing Director, Bharat Fritz Werner Limited (BFW) as the President of IMTMA and Rajendra S. Rajamane, Managing Director, Rajamane Industries Private Limited as its Vice President for the year 2021-2022.

Ravi Raghavan the new President of IMTMA takes the office from the outgoing President Indradev Babu of UCAM Bangalore. Mr Raghavan was the Vice President of the IMTMA last year. Ravi Raghavan is an industry veteran with 30 years of Operational and Strategic experience in Engineering and Manufacturing, and currently the Managing Director of leading Machine builder BFW.

Prior to Bharat Fritz, Ravi Raghavan served in key management roles at Kelvinator, Crompton Greaves, GEC Alsthom and Tecumseh. He is the past Chairman of the CII Karnataka Region. He currently serves as the Co-Chairman of the CII Manufacturing & Digital Excellence Sub-Committee of CII Southern Region as well as the CII National Committee on Capital Goods & Engineering.

Apart from heading Rajamane Industries, the new Vice President of IMTMA Rajendra S. Rajamane is also the Director of Rajamane & Hegde Services Pvt. Ltd. and R.H. Power Utilities Pvt. Ltd. and Gremot Mobility Pvt. Ltd. He was the Chairman of UDAAN and the Regional Council (South). He was also the Past President of Rotary Bangalore – Ulsoor and Whitefield Area Commerce Industries Association. With Electric Vehicles slowly increasing their market share, Mr Rajamane’s experience in mechatronics can help IMTMA to address some of the challenging problems the Indian Machine Tool industry is facing.
