The Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) with the Embassy of Italy in India brings the webinar ‘Automation & Industry 4.0: Trends in The Manufacturing Sector’ on 22nd September 2021 at 3 pm, part of the digital webinar series “MAKE in INDIA with ITALY – Italian Technologies, Machinery & Know-How for the Indian Manufacturing Growth”.

A virtual event on ‘Automation & Industry 4.0: Trends in The Manufacturing Sector’ will be organized by Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) and Embassy of Italy in India, in collaboration with UCIMU – Sistemi Per Produrre – the Italian Machine Tool, Robots, Automation systems and ancillary products (NC, tools, components, accessories) manufacturers’ association and supported by Machine Maker, India’s leading media platform for the manufacturing sector.

The event will start with the opening remarks by H.E. Vincenzo De Luca, The Ambassador of Italy to India, Italian Embassy in India followed by Claudio Maffioletti, CEO and Secretary General, IICCI, Alberto Nicolai, Marketing Manager, UCIMU – Sistemi Per Produrre & Nilesh Joshi, Manager of IICCI, Italian Machinery Desk in India who also represents AMAPLAST & UCIMU in India.

Italy with a robust manufacturing industry as well as a robust automation and robotics scenario is a promising partner to boost programmes such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. The webinar will introduce to the Indian manufacturers, these latest developments in Italian Automation & Industry 4.0 Technologies, with a focus on technical aspects, sector developments, market updates and needs, case studies and financial tools.

In the first session of the event “Innovative Industry 4.0 Solutions & Automation Trends” chaired by Hari Shanker, Managing Editor of Machine Maker, – Italian Companies BLM Group and Millutensil will be presenting case studies. Vinayak Joshi, Market Development Manager of BLM Group and Veronica Just, Vice President of Millutensil will be talking about how Indian manufacturers can get benefited from the latest automation trends, and Industry 4.0 solutions.

In the second session “Financial Tools Available for Indian Companies”, Gautam Bhansali, Head – India & South Asia – SACE SpA – MUMBAI Office will present a case study. Amar Joshi – Deputy Secretary-General & Head – Cluster Projects of IICCI will be introducing the speaker, and Mr Bhansali will be talking about various financial tools available for Indian companies importing machine tools from Italy with a case study.

The digital webinar series by IICCI “MAKE in INDIA with ITALY – Italian Technologies, Machinery & Know-How for the Indian Manufacturing Growth” was initiated on 16th February 2021, followed by two technical sessions. On 20th April 2021, a webinar on “Latest Developments in Plastic Film Extrusion Technology” was organized, followed by “Plastic Recycling Technologies – Making Plastic Useful Again” on 7th July 2021. These events are organized aimed at boosting partnerships in the industrial machinery and manufacturing sector and overall economic relations between India and Italy.

Italy is the second-largest manufacturer after Germany and is at the global forefront in many aspects of Industry 4.0. the adaptation of automation and robotics in manufacturing has been phenomenal in the country in recent years. According to the International Federation of Robotics, Italy has 185 robots per 10,000 manufacturing employees. Besides, Italian manufacturing companies have been heavy investors in scientific and technological research. According to the European Commission, the average annual R&D expenditure of Italy’s top R&D spending enterprises is €185.4 million, which betters the equivalent EU average of €165.8 million.

Experts from Italian technology majors will discuss the technologies Indian companies can avail from their Italian technology partners to scale up their manufacturing.
