In an exclusive interview with The Machine Maker, Mr. Gautam Ahuja, Managing Director for Dormer Pramet, talks about the company’s ever-increasing growth and its future plans. He discusses the products showcased at IMTEX and the focus the company has from India’s biggest machine tool exhibition. He says, “ Dormer Pramet possesses a broad range of metal cutting tools ranging right from the rotating tools to the indexable tools such as turning, milling, hole making, threading etc. that are fully equipped to serve the customers in a big way.”
Products at IMTEX
The company at IMTEX has showcased a wide range of new products to cater to the demands of the upcoming or ongoing machine tool industries. The special attractions of the exhibition from the rotating tools were the special solid carbide drill having a special geometry and special coating that provides a better tool life on all types of the materials. They have also showcased an expanded range of hydra for the cutting of the cast iron.
From the indexable tools, the company launched a new series of the cutter for die & mould segment which is a high feet cutter with a square shoulder. They also introduced a new series SBN10 high feed milling range with BNGX inserts, M8330 milling grade for general machining applications in a variety of materials, and the extended Shark Line program of material specific taps.
