“We at Creintors, create, innovate, automate”. These are the lines one gets to read when visiting the website of Belgaum-based Creintors Automation Solutions. The company ideates unique products that cater to customer needs, innovates effectively with confidence and automates as needed.

“Creintors Automation is not just a company, it is a revolution”, says Neelesh Bhimrao Chougule, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Creintors Automation Solutions Private Limited. He’s educational qualitfication is on B.E (Mechanical), M.E (Thermal Science and Fluid Mechanics), and MBA (Finance). He shares some insightful details about their company, products and their plans in an exclusive interview with Machine Maker. “We at Creintors are committed to delivering our best solutions by understanding customer’s specific requirements. Our dedicated team driven by our vision, mission, and policy, makes us achieve the best in us and helps deliver high performance.”

The motto of this manufacturing set-up is crystal clear they present solution-oriented products and designs to their respective clients who benefit from it immensely. For a start, he is elated to inform us that all their products are ‘Made in India’. Their products, solutions, and innovations deal predominantly with software, automation, test rigs, and the environment with each solution being diverse in itself.

To throw some light, their software eliminates difficulties in generating E-Invoices. The other three being the prominent ones, automation includes material handling like an automated guided vehicle, scissor lifts, and overhead conveyor; automated storage solutions such as automatic storage & retrieval system, vertical and horizontal carousel, pallet racking system, etc; a robotic solution that deal in painting-robot and stapling machines; special purpose machines that have scuff testers and automatic balance ring.

Their test rings are for testing valves automatically to ensure they adhere to ASME standards. The innovations in the environment include projects in screening, sedimentation, filtration, and the like. That said, the notable contribution of the Creintors group is their close involvement with the Jal Shakti Mission of the government where they offer automated solutions in water treatment ranging from cleaning to distribution. Under the initiative, they have implemented close to 80 projects to date.

Neelesh Chougule elaborates that all their products are unique and come under the ‘Make in India’ campaign. To this end, their Intelligent Storage and Dispensing System would be their first product to be launched in the U.S. and would take place in the year 2025. “These are storage systems that are most unique in the world”, says Neelesh Chougule. These intelligent solutions deal in the storage of myriad commodities including diamonds (for Tanishq with each piece sometimes weighing just up to 3 grams piece to JSW’s coils upto 30 tonnes).

Their Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) is a cost-effective solution for conventional warehouses that are running out of space. Replacing conventional pallet racking with ASRS significantly increases pallet storage capacity thereby extending the life of the existing building, and eliminating the need, cost, and disruption associated with constructing a new facility or relocating. Harita Fehrer is one of the prominent clients.

The solution that deserves special mention is the Automated Guided Vehicle which “is an automatic carrier with a guiding device along a specified guiding path and is one of the key equipment in the modern logistic system and flexible manufacturing system. Further, the company, under the Modification of Cartridge Line, supplies machines in Daman to a German company, Schott. The machine offers a 360° solution for making the vials, and tubing, and filling them with vaccines.

Neelesh Chougule further informs about Rail Guided Vehicle, Pick and Place Robots, and Overhead Conveyor which is used for Vega helmets. The company has provided 8 completely automated lines that take the material from ground to top, wash it, clean it, dry it, remove dust, do the painting, heating for curing it. In short, provides a full circuit for the completion of the task. Additionally, Neelesh Chougule informs us about the Seat Stapling Machine that makes the manual seat stapling act a lot less stressful. The machine does it via a robotic arm which is unique in the world and has multiple heads. The company received the CII Innovation Award for this machine.

Creintors Automation Solutions manufactures products completely in India, a noteworthy fact that is also widely appreciated by the central and state governments. Creintors is a parent group for three firms: Creintors Teknosol Private Limited, Creintors Environmental Solutions Private Limited, and Creintors Automation Solutions Private Limited. It has received many awards for its outstanding contribution to the manufacturing industry. These include the CII Industrial Innovation Award for India’s best manufacturing Start-Up in 2016, the CII top 25 most innovative companies in 2018, the Productivity & Innovation Award by the National Productivity Council of India in 2014-15 and the National award for ‘Make in India’ in 2015.

Apart from the awards, the company was invited by the late President Pranab Mukherjee for appreciation for innovation. Further, the state government has given them a grant of 18 lakhs for further R&D and to take their product abroad. Mr Chougule says that such awards and recognition give the company and its people the required inspiration thus playing a pivotal role in further research and innovation.

Another important feature that the Creintors group adopts is the “quickly fail in company” concept. He believes that failure is the first step to success and never to get demoralized after a failure. Speaking of the challenges in indigenizing products, Mr Chougule mentions finance as being an area of concern that thankfully they could overcome with their customers trusting them implicitly and giving them the required opportunity.

A noteworthy feature of their work is their giving students and freshers the required exposure to technology and the working of their organization. “I always believe in manufacturing people, not just machines,” is Mr Chougule’s quip. “The challenge is to “conceive the idea” because we just can’t copy endlessly. Cost and affordability being a factor, we go out of our way to trust the skills and knowledge of our engineers. And we are good at it”! He adds

As for people, Neelesh Chougule is entirely in favour of employing locals given that they work closely, are more stable, and understand reality. “They get high exposure and achieve targets comparable to people in the metros”, Neelesh adds. Further, while talking about the Make in India campaign, Mr Chougule remarks that the “Make In India” concept is a fantastic initiative by the government of India. “This particular initiative has accelerated our work. I think we will be ahead of many countries in just a decade. Manufacturing will be growing multi-fold”, concludes Neelesh Chougule.
