Celebrating Intellectual Property Rights Day on 26th of April 2019, one of India’s leading manufacturer, Pune based Bharat Forge honored Prashant Prabhakar Naladkar, Vice President of Kalyani center for Manufacturing Innovation (KCMI), with inventor Award, for his two patents filed, which will be used in the new generation electrical vehicles.
Baba Kalyani, Chairman of Bharat Forge presented the award to Prashant Naladkar during the celebration, an internal event, which is held annually on World Intellectual Property Day, inspiring people to innovate.
Mr. Naladkar on being honored addressed, “We at KCMI develop the manufacturing processes that are unique and have not been ever followed by any of the companies in the world before. We found out the idea and searched through the internet to find the duplications or patents. There were no such innovations ever made and therefore we grabbed this opportunity to put forth our idea and patent it.” He further adds that the innovation was developed to cater the European customers. The process of implementing and designing was a bit challenging and needed immense efforts.
Prashant has completed his Production Engineering Diploma from MIT Polytechnic Aurangabad with an Advanced Diploma in Business Management. He posses more than 28 years of extensive experience in the area of Manufacturing Engineering, Machine Building & Application, Cutting Tools, Project planning, Tool Room (Jigs and Fixtures, PDC Dies), Vendor Development, Operations. He is an expert in the field of Innovation in Manufacturing, Transmission Technology in the Area of Automotive, Aerospace & Defence.
