The National Skill Development Mission stands as a backbone for the industry by widening the skill of the people since 2015. The virtual platforms triggered the Mission into a success even in the pandemic period. It prefers the digital platform as a source.

The launch of SANKALP (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion Programme) was a great change for the scenario. The Skill Centers are a revolution for the young generation in India. The realization of women’s role in the industry is another milestone of the Skill India Mission.

The infrastructure is improving by extending the branches of institutes and other university courses. Using technologies paved a new path for skill acquisition. The new Education policy is also a sign of encouraging the skill development of students. The journey was through National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2005, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana(PMKVY), Skill Loan Scheme, and Rural India Skill. Thereby the mission touches the nook and corner of India. The mission has strong stress on the youth to increase their ability in artificial intelligence and robotics.

It is with a view to all these developments and experts' opinion, that the Friday Debate promises to be a brainstorming session as skilled India moves towards the reskill and upskill, to become a superpower in the secondary sector.
