Kawasaki to introduce hybrid technology in EV, files for the E-Boost trademark

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., a leader in the manufacturing of motorcycles and engines has planned to manufacture hybrid motorcycles and launched the first electric sports bike, the Endeavor in 2020. The name E-Boost is patented by Kawasaki which indicates the launch of a hybrid tech electric motorcycle in the future.

The hybrid technology in the EV sector is much more sustainable with less C02 emissions and Kawasaki plans to deliver top-notch performance from both engine and electric motor. The tech enables switching to electrical assist giving the thrill of riding a sports bike causing a less environmental effect.

The electric motor can decrease the size of the conventional engine opening prospects for innovation and development for Kawasaki. The possibilities of the E-boost name can be endless from a Shifting Switch to a whole new series of electric motorcycles. Kawasaki plans to launch E-boost in the upcoming Motorcycle Events. Kawasaki has filed for the trademark E-Boost, a name which will be used for the company’s future motorcycles.

 

In EICMA 2019 they launched “EV Endeavor” and the product is currently being tested on the tracks. The vehicle is equipped with a four-speed transmission gearbox with a quick shifter generating maximum power of 26 bhp.

With the help of the DC charger, the Endeavor can be charged fully in one hour giving 120 km-mileage per one-time charge. The E-sports bike is scheduled to be launched in the international market by 2021 and in India by 2022. Kawasaki is based in Japan having production facilities in Michigan, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Thailand. India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Limited, Japan established its new plant in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra in July 2017 followed by an expansion of the R&D Centre in 2018.
